BAIL BONDS
Bail Bond Agencies enable you to have friends or relatives freed from jail without requiring you to personally post the entire bond amount. A Bail Bond Agency will typically collect a specific percentage, as prescribed by law, from you and guarantees the person will be in Court.
When a person has been arrested they must find out whether a bond amount has been set for their release. In most counties, bond amounts are preset in accordance with the various offenses. Judges do have the power to change the bond amount in individual cases. Once the amount is known they need to get the services of a bail agent.
Once payment has been made arrangements are made to have the friend or relative freed from jail. If your friend or relative fails to appear for any of their court dates, a warrant for arrest will be issued.
Bond Process
Your friend or relative is placed in jail and you contact Mullen and Whitaker.
You will then speak to one of the assistant’s in the office and give them the
following information:
What is the person’s full legal name?
What is the person’s date of birth?
Which jail is he or she in and is it a county, city, or federal jail?
What is the charge?
What is the bail bond amount?
You provide Mullen and Whitaker with a percentage of the total bail bond amount.
Mullen and Whitaker will contact the jail facility and determine exact bail
bond information and arrange to have your friend or relative released.
You will be notified once he or she has been released.
Warrants
If you or a loved one currently have a warrant for your arrest, sometimes, as long as there is no hold, you can get a
bail bond without ever having to sit in jail. You will be finger printed and your picture will still be taken. If you or know someone who has a warrant for their arrest please contact our office to discuss the eligibility of this process.
Mullen and Whitaker are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your bail bond needs.
